The school library fosters the development of life-long learning abilities and love for reading in the students.
It also provides teachers with instructional material and professional resources.
The program and services evolve directly from the school curriculum, as well as provide independent leisure reading.
It also furthers literary appreciation programmes.

Workshops
The teachers at Vaish Sr. Sec. School go through several hours of workshops and training programs to be in sync with the latest developments in their particular subjects and other levels.
A workshop was organized on 1st July ’09. The theme of the workshop was 'Effective Teaching Skills'. The session was highly interactive and addressed the general problems faced by the learners during their classroom teaching. This was followed by an introduction to the different techniques and methodologies which facilitated the teachers with a better understanding of the differential needs of the learners and the process of catering to the same.
The session turned out to be quite informative as the teachers could relate to the different experiences. The session helped the teachers in brainstorming their minds with ideas related to functional teaching. The idea of establishing a healthy student teacher relationship was also one of the significant features of the workshop. Thus, in all the session benefitted the teachers as they could find solutions to some of the common problems faced by the learners in the school. Workshop conducted on “Learning through senses” dated: 30th June 2009
Senses tell us the world. Their significance is all pervading. Highlighting the pivotal role played by our senses in the learning process a workshop was conducted . The workshop triggered driving thoughts into the multi-sensorial learning patterns of children which helped them to relate to various situations arising in classroom. Understanding the differential needs of the learners based on multi-sensorial concepts, was addressed. The impact of sensory processing in the classroom and the various activities which can be included, to cater to the learner, were the key ideas of the workshop. Handouts of the key contents were given to the teachers. The learning style of the teachers was also assessed by means of a questionnaire. A list of games and activities were narrated which could help the teachers for the sensory seekers and avoiders. In a nutshell, the underlying idea of shedding assumptions and taking in account the play of senses towards a successful learning graph was conveyed successfully.
Swimming Pool
Placing Your Child:-
To place your child in the proper swimming environment, The Pool School curriculum is divided into eight class levels . It is important to properly place your child for maximum teaching efficiency and safety. We at Vaish Sr. Sec. School ensures safety of your child so that he/she can learn swimming with fun!!!
Class Levels:-
Skills listed are necessary to begin each level.
Level 1 – Limited to 4 students per instructor
No water experience, timid around water or may not like to get their face wet
Level 2 – Limited to 4 students per instructor
Plays well in the water, blows bubbles, will submerge head under water
Level 3 – Limited to 4 students per instructor
Front glide to instructor without aid and back float
Level 4 – Limited to 4 students per instructor
Swim with arms out of water and face in the water, without flotation devices
Level 5- Limited to 4 students per instructor
Swim with arms out of the water, some breathing to the side in sequence with arms
Level 6 – 5 students per instructor
Swim 12 (half length of pool) yards front crawl and backstroke
Level 7 – 5 students per instructor
Swim 17 yards front crawl, backstroke, and breaststroke
Level 8- Lightning Swim Team - 8 students per class
Swim 25 yards front crawl with proper breathing and backstroke without fins
Smart Information
Parent’s teacher child Circle (PTCCIRCLE) is an initiative by us to reduce the gap between the child and the parent by using the school as a bridge between them. We intend to create a synergistic relation between the school and parent for the benefit of child.
PTCCIRCLE is a web based portal which helps in maintaining the school's operation like admission details, student records, attendance reports and test and examination report thus saving time, money, paper work and getting the best results out of the Information technology.
Medical Care
The Medical Staff comprises of 2 Doctors (Full time) one each for Infirmary and Boarding, 2 Nurses (Full time) one each for Infirmary and boarding and 1 Nursing assistant for School Infirmary and boarding. The school Infirmary has 6 beds, Patient Examination and Dental Chairs, B.P. Apparatus, Snellon chart for eye check up, First aid kits with life saving drugs for Emergency, Oxygen cylinders and Nebulizers in the Infirmary and Boarding. The School has tied up with Artemis hospital which is considered one of the best in Gurgaon, for emergency cases. There is availability of Ambulance services for 24 hours in the Campus and Primary Health checks are done by the Doctors on regular intervals.
Latest Computer Lab
COMPUTER LAB RULES AND PROCEDURES
In order to maintain the computer equipments at Indus Public School in the best possible condition, each student must cooperate and abide by the rules of the lab. Failure to follow Computer Lab rules will result in a temporary loss of computer privileges. Repeated problems could result in permanent removal from the school’s network.
Arrival
Come in quietly No food or drink in the lab. That includes gum and candy Hands must be clean before using a computer Students must be with a class or have special permission from their teacher in order to use the computer
Be Nice to others
Help others with your mouth not mouse Keep your hands on your computer only Open only your work When you have question raise your hand and wait for assistance patiently No excessive talking or any disruptive behavior
Not allowed to do
Students are not to leave the computer lab at anytime unless directed to do so by the teacher Do not PRINT without asking for permission first
Be Nice to computers
Treat the computer with respect, hands off the monitor, gentle use of the keyboard and mouse Report any problems with your computer immediately to your teacher Do not make any adjustments to the computer, monitor or screen saver Do not personalize the computers, for example: Installing screen savers from the Internet; Changing the desktop background; Changing the video and audio settings
Internet Rules
Do not use the internet inappropriately which means absolutely no off-task Internet usage w/o teacher permission
Dismissal Procedure
Before leaving the lab, students must save work/exit the program that they are in Do not turn off the monitors DO NOT SHUT DOWN the computer unless they directed to do so. (Note: All the computers in the lab will auto-shutdown weekly.) Keep workstation area clean: place all trash in the trash can and return any items borrowed from the lab - e.g. pencil or pen Hang up headphones on the hook at the back of the monitor Straighten keyboard/mouse Gently push in chair before leaving your computer Get in line
Lining Up Procedures
When instructed, walk slowly to the door staying behind whoever is in the front of you Keep your hands to yourself Wait for your teacher’s permission before exiting
